Celestron Ultima Series Spotting Scopes
The Celestron Ultima series is the most popular range of spotting scopes from Celestron. These high-quality yet affordable spotting scopes feature variable magnification (zoom) and are available in three sizes, as well as in straight-through and angled versions. At the heart of every Ultima spotting scope is an achromatic objective lens with fully multi-coated optics, delivering bright, sharp, high-contrast images with excellent clarity.
The eyepiece used in Celestron Ultima spotting scopes allows for smooth zoom adjustment over a wide magnification range. This makes the Ultima series ideal for observing both expansive landscapes and distant details such as wildlife, birds, architectural features, aircraft, or people.
Straight-viewing Ultima spotting scopes perform exceptionally well for observations from a balcony, terrace, or in the field, for example when viewing the opposite shore of a lake. Angled models are versatile enough for virtually any application and can even be pointed toward the night sky for observing the Moon, planets, and brighter deep-sky objects such as nebulae and star clusters. The 100 mm model, in particular, gathers a large amount of light and is especially suitable for nighttime observations.
The Ultima 65 is an extremely compact optical instrument that can be taken almost anywhere, fitting easily into a backpack for hiking or cycling trips. Models with an 80 mm objective lens are considered the most versatile and are widely used for nature observation and aircraft spotting.
The Celestron Ultima 100 offers variable magnification from 22x to 66x. A protective carrying case is included. The scope can also be connected to a DSLR camera for photography. The eyepiece is positioned at a 45° angle for comfortable viewing.
