The NexStar SLT series are lightweight and mobile telescopes equipped with the Go-To system that enables automatic targeting and tracking of objects. The assembly is controlled by a remote control. Thanks to this, we can quickly and easily search for any of the over 4,000 objects present in the system database. Before you start observing, all you need to do is align the telescope with three bright objects in the sky. After performing this simple action, we can enjoy the possibilities that the Go-To system gives us. The assembly is powered by 8 AA batteries, so we do not need an additional external source of energy to conduct field observations.
The Nexstar 5 SLT is a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with an aperture of 125mm and a focal length of 1250mm. These types of telescopes are characterized by a compact structure and small dimensions, and the image obtained is very contrasting. Thanks to the light intensity of f / 10, this model is best suited for observing bright objects such as the Moon and planets. It also enables basic observations of deep sky objects, but here we recommend telescopes with a larger aperture.
The set includes a 1.25 «angular cap, a Red Dot finder, and 20mm and 9mm eyepieces.
Due to the portable nature of the set, it is not factory-equipped with an AC adapter.
