Slides and cover glasses are an\u00a0indispensable accessory<\/b>\u00a0which has also impact on the image quality. For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number\u00a00.17<\/b>\u00a0which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for\u00a0microphotography<\/b>, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.<\/p>\n

The cover glasses included in the set are made of\u00a0Boro 3.3 glass<\/b>\u00a0and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are\u00a0pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use<\/b>. They are also especially suitable for\u00a0fluorescence microscopy<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have\u00a0ground edges<\/b>\u00a0for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a\u00a0vacuum sealed bag<\/b>, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time\u00a0without loss of quality from hydrolysis<\/b>\u00a0and are easy to take out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
