Medium-sized achromatic refractor based on a two-element lens with a diameter of 102mm and a focal length of 1000mm.\u00a0With the aperture of f \/ 10 and the above-mentioned parameters, it is an astronomical instrument that offers quite a lot of possibilities and can also satisfy those slightly more demanding astronomy enthusiasts.\u00a0This type of telescope allows you to observe planets and the Moon with a fairly good resolution, it allows you to find numerous star clusters as well as brighter nebulae and galaxies.\u00a0This telescope was mounted on a stable EQ3-2 equatorial mount equipped with micromovements.\u00a0This mount can be considered the smallest one suitable for astrophotography.\u00a0There are mounting holes on the mounting head that allow you to connect any type of drive, including the GoTo SynScan drive.<\/p>\n

Optical system<\/strong>
\nThis telescope is a typical achromatic refractor.\u00a0The lens with a diameter of 102mm has a focal length of 1000mm.\u00a0Built as a classic Fraunhofer doublet, covered with anti-reflective coatings.\u00a0There is a 2 “angular adapter with a 1.25” reduction in the optical axis.\u00a0Kellner eyepieces with 25mm and 10mm focal lengths are included.<\/p>\n

Installation<\/strong>
\nThe telescope tube is mounted on a stable EQ3-2 equatorial mount.\u00a0It is a relatively massive structure, sufficient for photographing the sky with telescopes up to 150mm in diameter, but at the same time light enough to be considered quite mobile.\u00a0The assembly is equipped with precise micromovements, what’s more, it is possible to connect quite advanced drives such as SynScan GoTo (the so-called Upgrade Kit EQ3-2). The EQ3-2 mount allows for the attachment of telescopes equipped with a Dovetail mounting rail in the Vixen standard.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The BK1021 is equipped with a 2 “Rack & Pinion eyepiece extractor. The extractor is terminated with a retaining ring with screws clamping 2-inch accessories. There is a standard Sky-Watcher finder attachment on the extractor body.<\/p>\n

Astronomical observations of <\/strong>the Solar System:
\n<\/strong>Small features on the lunar surface – but no smaller than 1.5 km, caps on Mars, even more details in Jupiter belts, numerous comets, brighter asteroids<\/p>\n

Stars:
