Suur fookuskaugus (pika fookusega teleskoobid) t\u00e4hendab suuremat suurendamist, kuid v\u00e4iksemat vaatev\u00e4lja ja valgusj\u00f5udu. Sobib v\u00e4iksemate eemaldunud objektide vaatluseks. V\u00e4iksem fookuskaugus (l\u00fchikese fookusega teleskoobid) t\u00e4hendab v\u00e4iksemat suurendamist, kuid suuremat vaatev\u00e4lja.
